The Challenge

The events division of WBD Sports wanted cycling fans around the world to experience the thrill of The UCI Track Champions League, and find ways to keep them coming back. So Infinite Reality delivered an immersive 3D experience that offered all the excitement of the live event, plus new ways to engage with the sport they love. 

Cycling enthusiasts from around the globe were virtually transported to Europe for VIP access to the races. In addition to giving global fans more interactive access to the event, the immersive destination also gave them the ability to go behind the scenes and directly connect with the sport and its athletes like never before.

The Experience

Custom Skybox viewing lounges offered fans a place to watch the races together with other enthusiasts. Live videos streamed dedicated trackside reporting and multiple unique camera angles during each race. Video chat provided them with one-of-a-kind experiences like meet and greets with Olympic athletes, and one-to-one connections with other fans from around the world.

Users of the UCI TCL-Verse app logged in an average of 5 times and spent just under 2 hours exploring the different spaces.
